Our friend and benefactor, Jeffrey P. Ossen was a remarkable man. His courage and determination was most evident when faced with a challenge, and on Sunday, September 16, 2007, Jeff lost his battle with cancer. Jeff was a major benefactor of Windham Hospital and made the largest gift from a living donor to the new Emergency Center which now bears his name. His dedication to Windham Hospital and the formation of the new Foundation was admirable, and he served as the first Chairman of the Windham Hospital Foundation until his death. He also sponsored the first two Cancer Survivor Day celebrations at Windham Hospital in June 2006 and 2007. His philanthropy was known to many both locally as well as internationally. What we will remember most was his keen mind, his sense of humor and his love of life. We will miss him greatly.
